The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and beloved Rolex watches ever created. Since the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of quality and functional design.
This 1969 Datejust ref. 1601 retains its original and uncommon non-luminous silver "pie-pan" dial and original white gold fluted bezel, perfectly suited for everyday wear. CASE & BRACELET
The case is in excellent condition and retains strong dimensions with thick and symmetrical lugs that show minimal signs of previous polishing and gentle wear from use. The white gold fluted bezel is very crisp and has formed a charming patina from oxidation and shows gentle signs of use. The original Rolex 6251H rolled-link Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces retains 20 links that show light stretch for the style and age of the bracelet and will fit up to a 7 1/4-inch wrist.
DIAL & HANDS
The original silver sunburst non-luminous dial is in superb condition, featuring a subtle warm patina with no damage or other apparent elements of age. The original solid steel non-luminous hands are also in excellent condition. The metallic date wheel is original with "closed" 6's and 9's which is correct for this era.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
